Loan Amortization Calculator Commercial for Newton, NC Salon Owners Pricing New Suite Stations
The calculator on this page has three inputs: the amount, Rate (annual %), and the term in months. Out come three figures: the level monthly payment, the interest across the term and the amount repaid in all. Nothing typed into it is sent anywhere. It shows no schedule, so the worked example in this section splits the payments between interest and principal by hand.
| Item | Figure |
|---|---|
| Monthly payment | $1,037.66 |
| Interest in the first payment | $430.00 |
| Principal in the first payment | $607.66 |
| Balance after 12 payments | $40,337.85 |
| Balance after 36 payments | $22,319.27 |
| Total interest over 60 months | $14,259.60 |
In the first payment, $430.00 goes to interest and $607.66 to principal. As the balance drops, so does the interest inside every later payment. Totals here come from the payment rounded to the cent.
Each output answers a different question. The monthly payment is what leaves the account every month and has to fit the cash flow. Total interest is what the money costs across the whole term. Total repaid is the amount plus that interest. To compare two terms, run the calculator twice with the same amount and rate and set the two results side by side.
Worked Example: Loan Payment Calculator (Business) for a Restaurant Planning Patio Furniture and Heaters
| Item | Figure |
|---|---|
| Amount | $14,500 |
| Rate (annual %) | 11.5% |
| Payment over 24 months | $679.18 |
| Total interest over 24 months | $1,800.32 |
| Payment over 36 months | $478.15 |
| Total interest over 36 months | $2,713.40 |
Moving from a 24-month to a 36-month term trims $201.03 from each payment while the interest grows by $913.08. Patio tables, chairs and heaters wear out, so a term much longer than their life leaves payments running after they are gone.
A restaurant pricing an outdoor seating refresh can run the calculator with the furniture quote alone first, then again with the heaters added, to see what each piece adds to the monthly payment. When one of those payments looks workable, its total belongs in the requested-amount range on the request form.

A second location in a leased space, with furnishings, equipment and opening stock, is the kind of purchase a term loan is built for. The longer term trades a lower payment for a larger total; buying the building is a property loan and outside this site.
The amount in this example stands in for a lease deposit, dining-room tables and seating, kitchen equipment, opening stock and a few months of payroll. A partner can ask for the lease, the vendor quotes and a projection for the new location, and can set a term shorter or longer than either row here.
Worked Example: Loan Payment Calculator (Business) for a Restaurant Planning Kitchen Equipment Repairs
| Item | Figure |
|---|---|
| Amount | $9,800 |
| Rate (annual %) | 12% |
| Payment over 12 months | $870.72 |
| Total interest over 12 months | $648.64 |
| Payment over 18 months | $597.62 |
| Total interest over 18 months | $957.16 |
A repair bill is a short-lived cost, so a short term keeps the total down. A line of credit draw can serve the same purpose and be paid down as sales come in.
Repairs here mean a repair invoice for a restaurant's own machines, such as a range, a fryer or a dish machine. That is an operating cost; work on the building itself is property work and outside this site.
